One of the most effective ways to make immediate gains in the quarter mile is through weight reduction. If you're serious about quarter mile racing, and want that little extra edge on the competition, this may be the mod for you.

Stock 11" front brake calipers and brackets weigh 31.5 pounds (per pair), and the rotors weigh 32.0 pounds (per pair). Our race setup calipers and brackets weigh 19.0 pounds (per pair) and the rotors weigh 22.0 pounds (per pair). So total weight savings on a W-body is 22.5 pounds (and even more on an H-body or vehicle with 12" brakes), and almost half of that number is rotating mass on the drive wheels!

Realistic quarter mile gains with this swap are on the order of .05 second, and every hundredth counts once you decide you want to go fast.

Each kit comes complete with two 'loaded' aluminum calipers including new brake pads in addition to all the necessary brake pad retention hardware. The rotors are precisely lightened by the innovative folks at B & R Racing, and four new G.M. caliper bracket mounting bolts are also included for your convenience.

IMPORTANT NOTES:

- This braking setup consists of small rotors with very thin friction surfaces. They will warp easily in repeated or panic stop situations, and are NOT recommended for street use.
