Eliminate false knock with this Dynamat sound deadening material kit. Three pre-cut pieces are included. The first one is used to cover a portion of the transaxle case where the planetaries, etc. are located. This is to eliminate false knock due to mechanical resonance inside the transaxle, and in close proximity to the rear knock sensor. Kudos to Steve Lipowski for the idea. The other two pieces are for the knock sensors themselves, and serve to eliminate all forms of false knock.

I was a bit skeptical about how well this would work, but for $13 how can you go wrong? Well, all the false knock issues I was experiencing are gone, it works extraordinary well! I'd recommend this to anyone experiencing the same issues I did. It only took about 5min to install, but I already had the engine out. This would be an absolute pain to install the with engine/trans installed in the vehicle. It could probably be done but I wouldn't recommend it.
